Wow Wednesday ~ Accordian Card
Posted on: Tuesday, May 4th, 2010Well I am not totally ‘Wowed’ by my card, I feel like there was room for so many more details, unfortunately I just ran out of time and had to leave it be! I would have also loved to have hand cut a fire and given the raccoon the can of beans on a stick, and maybe added in a few more mosquito’s on springs for movement. Oh well. I at least got to try out a new style of card. I am happy with the card style, but am not totally sure that I get where the sentiment is supposed to go. I suppose I could write it in the back with a gel pen? Either way, here it is…. the accordian card (I think that is what it is called). I have seen them all over the place so thought it was time to shake up the plain old card lol. Well I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday and Will see you again soon

I thought this card was really cute! It might be possible to stamp the sentiment on the tree with dark ink or white ink. Just a thought.
Thanks for introducing a new style/idea for me!

I had to have this set, but haven’t used it much. I love how you made a neat layered scene. Plus – wow you cut out all those little pieces. Don’t know if I’m that patient.

WOW!
I never would have thought of embossing and using the pastels together. when I look at the background picture with the left side having been colored and the right side left un-colored, the colored side really makes it POP!
your re-inked flower card is just lovely! I have tried that technique but I’m just not very good at it.
I am stunned at your single flower card that has the blue pastel behind it. I do that kind of thing when I paiont and I admit- I never thought of using that for my cards.
thank you for sharing your projects and please know that you and Sophia have taught me so very much and I really appreciate both of you teaching all of the different techniques.

What an awesome Card! I have never made one of these kind of cards. I have downloaded the pdf file so that when I am ready, I will have it right at my fingertips. The Stamp Set that you picked is just so cute on this Card. Love the grass! Another fantastic creation by you! Thanks for sharing.

WHat a great scene…you really do make this set look better than I think it is!
(alright I’ll concede that the fire and can of beans would have been cool…but only ’cause you mentioned it!)
