Stampin’ Up! Makeover Monday Challenge

Stampin' Up!

I can’t tell you how thrilled I am that Stampin’ Up! is not retiring the Flower Fusion Tin or their Rhinestone brads!  These felt flowers have been a part of my stash for about 6 months now, but have been one of those things that I seem to have a tendency to hoard (I’m sure many of you know how that is *lol*!).  So today I went wild with my card and used a whole bunch of them!

Cards magazine

My card today is based on this one, which was in the July 2007 issue of CARDS magazine.  As soon as I saw that card I thought that it would be a perfect way to use my felt flowers.  For a full list of the supplies I used, check the bottom of this post.

Now it’s your turn! Take a totally or at least mostly non-Stampin’ Up! card, 3D item or scrapbook page, and make it over using all Stampin’ Up! product.  Post it to your blog, Splitcoaststampers, or other photo gallery and link to this post.  Once you’ve done that, post a comment in the comments section of this post with a link to your card.  You can makeover as many projects as you would like. Each project gets you one entry into my monthly draw.  The winner is drawn the first Monday of the following month, and receives an item valued at $14.95 or less (CAN) from the current Stampin’ Up! catalogue.

Stay tuned tomorrow for my Tutorial Tuesday feature -  it’s a 2 in 1 tutorial where – I’m going to show you another cool technique using Crystal Effects which looks just like stained glass AND how I created an acetate tri-fold card.

Stamps: Celebrate Everything
Inks: Whisper White Craft
Paper: Old Olive CS, Bali Breeze DP, Certainly Celery DP
Accessories: Wide Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, Flower Fusion tin, Circle Rhinestone Brads, white EP, embossing buddy, heat tool

All supplies Stampin’ Up!

Beautiful!
I have been getting your blog for about a year now, and love it! You have wonderful ideas for us not quite so creative. Please keep them coming. Have you seen the Black card with the fusion flowers? It turned out beautiful too. I saw it on Patty Bennett’s blog earlier.

I still can’t believe that you set all this up in advance for us. You are like my cup of coffee…can’t live without seeing the project for today. And this one I actually haven’t seen before. (Either of them.) Thank you again. I can’t wait to see the new little one!!

Really great card!! Have not tried the felt flowers yet but I do know about hording stuff. Tee hee hee, are all us SU demos and customers like that? Or just us really addicted stampers???? Your card turned out so well using those felt flowers. Good job. Hope the baby is sleeping better for you. I got a puppy three weeks ago and I feel as if I have a newborn as well. We are up every am from 4 am to 5 am for potty time and he will not go back to bed then. Hum!!! Plus he is teething so is chewing on everything. He is a yellow lab AKC and a real cutie. His name is “Toby”. I have two other dogs, ages 4 & 7 years. They are accepting him slowly but surely. Phew thank goodness. Give that baby a kiss for me. evette
