Mushroom on a log treat holder
Posted on: Wednesday, May 11th, 2011Today’s project features a toilet paper roll morphed into a woodland log. It worked great for turning it into a treat holder. By simply making circular tabbed ends, I was able to cap off the ends. Cap of the first end, then fill with bagged candy, and cap the second end. Draw in the rings with your Stampin’ Write marker, then sponge the ends with some Creamy Caramel Classic ink. Next you can grab some woodgrain patterned paper (Woodland Walk) and wrap it around the outside of the roll. At this point you can sponge the outside of the log with some Esspresso Classic ink. Finally it is time to decorate. The mushrooms are punch pals made with the 1 1/4″ Circle punch, the 3/4″ Circe punch, a 1/4″ Circle punch, 1 3/8″ x 5/8″ Oval large punch. For grass, if you do not have the Martha Stewart grass punch or the Martha Stewart leaves, then you can replace those with fringing for the grass, and Little leaves die. Hope you enjoy the idea!
