Halloween Frights

Before I forget, I want to thank all of you who shared your moving/renovation stories with me during my Snow Flurries Blog Candy Give-Away. It’s always interesting reading other people’s stories, because it really helps put your own experience into perspective. All in all, although yes we have been experiencing a lot of frustrations & problems with our renos/move/new house, it’s been NOTHING compared to some of the horror stories I read. I was actually counting my blessings after I finished reading some of your experiences.
As you can see, I’ve managed to make a bit more time for stamping – pretty much all of it Halloween-related. Although we don’t celebrate Halloween in a very big way – the kids do dress up and go out trick or treating, but I don’t give out Halloween cards or go all out decorating my house – I DO love making all sorts of neat treat-related projects. Which means, that for the next number of posts, I’ll be sharing with you some of the treat ideas I’ve been working on. For those of you that aren’t into making Halloween projects, they’ll be quite adaptable to other holidays.
Today’s project is a quick and easy card I made using the new Halloween Frights stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalogue, and the Ghostly Greetings DP from the main Catalogue. The card itself is pretty straightforward and doesn’t really need much in the way of explaining, so I’ll just list the supplies I used below:
Stamps: Halloween Frights
Ink: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White CS, Ghostly Greetings DP
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop edge punch, 1" circle punch, mini library clips, word window punch

Great Halloween card! I can totally see myself using the layout for other fun cards. I also love the mini library clip – I must order some for myself soon. Thank you for also sharing the idea about the lollipop holder! You’re fantastic!

Very cute card Andrea; love the layout.
Like you, I don’t decorate for Halloween, or send out cards but I do enjoy making special little tret packages for teachers and special people.

Oops…I hit submit too quickly…I wanted to add that I love your detailed cards, but the “simpler” (as if!) ones are easier (and more realistic) for me to recreate. Thanks for giving us such a broad spectrum of ideas.
