Finally Friday: Friends 24-7
Posted on: Friday, May 14th, 2010Happy Friday everyone! I can’t believe that’s it’s Friday already. The weeks seems to have just flown by. Today I wanted to share with you a relatively simple yet striking card I made last week but never got around to sharing. This card is a little bit out of the ordinary for me as I don’t usually stamp directly onto a white background. It’s something I’m just starting to get comfortable with. I have to tell you though that I absolutely love how this one turned out! I’m not sure that the picture really shows you how pretty the card is in real life. Photographing white cards can be a bit challenging – white on white just doesn’t work at all. The way I took my picture above, the camera totally distorted the color of green on the CS but maintained the color on the ribbon. When I arranged the background paper the opposite way, there was a green reflection on the card. For the life of me, I couldn’t fix it in photoshop – so I picked the best of the photos I had.
You can download a pdf handout of today’s card HERE. The handout includes a full supply list, dimensions and directions.
I hope you enjoyed this card and that you have a wonderful weekend!

Love the card! Very simple but still elegant. I haven’t been able to make a card where I just stamped on the white background. You make it look great. Thanks for sharing.

What I love most about this card is it’s simplicity. It conveys so much meaning….yet it is not a complicated card. Wonderful! The ribbon adds just the right amount of “fancy” to it…no need for more.
Have a great weekend!

This is such a beautiful card! Simple, but elegant. Have to tell on myself. I am looking at the instructions and saying, “She didn’t say what DSP she used”. Wake up!! Thought the background was part of the card! It is pretty. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely stunning! I must admit that I do love the idea of stamping straight onto the card base because I think if I boog it up, then I just cut it out and layer it onto another card base! *lol* Beautiful colours and a great photo!
