Finally Friday: Friends 24-7

Posted on: Friday, May 14th, 2010

Happy Friday everyone!  I can’t believe that’s it’s Friday already.  The weeks seems to have just flown by. Today I wanted to share with you a relatively simple yet striking card I made last week but never got around to sharing. This card is a little bit out of the ordinary for me as I don’t usually stamp directly onto a white background.  It’s something I’m just starting to get comfortable with.  I have to tell you though that I absolutely love how this one turned out! I’m not sure that the picture really shows you how pretty the card is in real life.  Photographing white cards can be a bit challenging – white on white just doesn’t work at all.  The way I took my picture above, the camera totally distorted the color of green on the CS but maintained the color on the ribbon. When I arranged the background paper the opposite way, there was a green reflection on the card.   For the life of me, I couldn’t fix it in photoshop – so I picked the best of the photos I had.

You can download a pdf handout of today’s card HERE.  The handout includes a full supply list, dimensions and directions.

I hope you enjoyed this card and that you have a wonderful weekend!

Love the card! Very simple but still elegant. I haven’t been able to make a card where I just stamped on the white background. You make it look great. Thanks for sharing.

What I love most about this card is it’s simplicity. It conveys so much meaning….yet it is not a complicated card. Wonderful! The ribbon adds just the right amount of “fancy” to it…no need for more.
Have a great weekend!

Absolutely stunning! I must admit that I do love the idea of stamping straight onto the card base because I think if I boog it up, then I just cut it out and layer it onto another card base! *lol* Beautiful colours and a great photo!
