Discover Your Creativity with Our All *NEW* Artist in You Online Class
Posted on: Wednesday, August 4th, 2010
Are you satisfied with your level of creativity? Or do you look longingly at what others create and wish you could do the same, but don’t feel like you’ll ever be able to? Do you ever find yourself looking at your own creations and feeling like something is missing, but you don’t know what? For more than half my life, that was me. Despite a deep longing to create and be known as “creative”, I strongly believed that I was creatively challenged. That somehow, I was short changed on the “creative gene”. I was firmly convinced that some people were born creative, and others just weren’t….and I was part of the latter group. It wasn’t until I got tired of “looking through the window” so to speak, that I decided that I was going to just try and see what happened.
Fast forward 10 years later. As I look back on my creative journey, I marvel at how far I’ve come, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. My thought process has undergone a radical transformation. I have come to believe that everyone is gifted with creativity – yes, some have it in greater measure than others – but everyone does have it. More importantly though, creativity can be developed, it can be nurtured and it can grow.
It happened for me, and we can help it happen for you when you sign up for the all new Artist in You online course. Together with Sophia, my sister and business partner, we’ve developed a fantastic new online class designed to help you find (if you need to) and grow your creativity. In this class we’ll
-
share with you our secrets on how we create, where we get our ideas, how we find the time, and what we do to continually develop and grow our own creativity.
-
present you with a series of exercises, challenges, inspiration and lessons designed to build your creativity
-
Have an interactive forum with weekly discussions
- A gallery for you to upload the artwork you create based on the daily/weekly tasks &/or challenges.
- provide you with a combination of pdf files and/or videos on each’s weeks core theme.
The class will run from Sept. 1 st – 30th. Each of the four weeks of the course will present one core theme, with the exercises/challenges/inspiration being presented daily (Monday-Friday) – that’s 20 lessons in all! The classroom will remain open until the end of December, giving you plenty of time to access the resources and make sure you’ve downloaded all the pdfs and watched the videos.
The Early Bird price for this class is $49.95 if you sign up prior to Tuesday, Aug. 24th. After that, the price of the class increases to $59.95. To register for this class please click on the button below.
Register for the “Artist in You” Online Class Early Bird Price: $49.95
A confirmation and welcome letter will be emailed to you as soon as your payment is submitted.
This course will inspire, teach and challenge you to reach new levels of creativity and to dig down deep within you and discover the artist that is living in you!
As we typically do, we are giving away 1 free class registration to a lucky winner. To enter our give-away please leave a comment in the comments section of this post. We’ll announce the winner next week on Wednesday.
P.S. Soph’s post for today can be found down below.

Boy did you ever describe that lack of confidence in the creative gene. I hear you sister. How lucky for you to have your sister for a partner in this adventure. It is so nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of and who’s opinion you value. I would love to be able to take your class.

August 4th, 2010 at 5:32 pm
I love your class planners and your beautiful samples. You and your sister make a wonderful team!
August 4th, 2010 at 5:45 pm
Wow! When I read the opening introduction on your website I thought someone was talking about me. I am at a total crossroads in my life having suffered a major illness that ended my much loved career as a police officer. For many years now I have stuggled to find life after policing but just couldn’t figure out what to do or where to begin. I happened upon a wonderful group of women that introduced me to scrapbooking and card making. These women and our weekly get togethers literally saved my life, not to mention opened the world of creativity to me. I am not even close to being as creative as they are but with the right attitude I believe a person can do anything. I think you had me in mind when you designed this class, and I would love to participate.
August 4th, 2010 at 5:48 pm
I’m excited that you’re offering this class–I’m confident that many will benefit as a result of this class. Thank you, Andrea!

Thanks!
August 4th, 2010 at 6:03 pm

August 4th, 2010 at 6:05 pm

What a great class idea. Even for those of us who are creative, it’s always refreshing to get different viewpoints and perspectives on creating. Hope I can squeeze it into the budget for this first class. Payday’s a week from Friday, so I’m hoping nothing unexpected comes up and I can join in.
Big Hugs,
Ruth C
August 4th, 2010 at 6:42 pm
I would absolutely love to win this. I do so love your work. Your story sounds just like mine and I think I could improve with help.
August 4th, 2010 at 6:42 pm
Great idea! I have always felt like I’m creative in some ways but not as much in others. Sadly, one of my sisters was told by an elementary school art teacher that she wasn’t creative and she still believes that 40 years later. So now she doesn’t ever try anything. If I am the winner of this class, hopefully I can pass some tips on to her! Thanks for the opportunity!
August 4th, 2010 at 6:50 pm
This course sounds fabulous. I love your website and appreciate so much your willingness to share your gift of creativity. I would LOVE to win a seat in this class!
Thanks, Amy S
August 4th, 2010 at 6:50 pm
What awesome new planners! My favorite is the Artistic Etchings.
August 4th, 2010 at 6:57 pm
what a great idea for a class. I hope to win but will look into taking the class regardless.
August 4th, 2010 at 7:06 pm
I’d love to win, but I might have to devote the time, energy, and money to the class regardless because it sounds like just the boost I need for my card-making and scrapping.
August 4th, 2010 at 7:25 pm
What a great idea!Anything that opens up creativity is good as sodmetimes we don’t see in ourselves what someone else does!
August 4th, 2010 at 7:26 pm
This sounds like a fantastic course! I hope this is my lucky day!
August 4th, 2010 at 7:26 pm
What a wonderful opportunity!! This class sounds amazing! You and your sister are exceptionally creative so I would love the opportunity to get some tips from you both.
August 4th, 2010 at 7:40 pm
Wow, this sounds like fun, your website always has such wonderful ideas and boy do I need them. You’re right I am one to envy someone who can look at a stamp, or DSP and know exactly what to do with it. All I know to do with it is how to sort it, file it and keep it nice and warm in its storage case for future use! haha!
August 4th, 2010 at 7:47 pm
What a great idea! I love it and would love to be your winner!
August 4th, 2010 at 7:54 pm
Unlocking the creativity gene would be awesome! I have admired your work and your “go getter” attitude for awhile now. Would love to win this!
August 4th, 2010 at 7:58 pm
This is a great idea, Andrea and I too would love to be a winner.
August 4th, 2010 at 8:08 pm
Pick me, pick me!!!! Hahaha if I got to be 10% as creative as you ladies it would be definitely worth the cost….i love your work
August 4th, 2010 at 8:33 pm
What an awesome idea! I’d love to win!
August 4th, 2010 at 8:40 pm
What a great offer. I’ve purchased instructions from you and they are put together so professionally and easy to follow. It’s so nice that you and your sister share the love of stamping and that you are giving others the same opportunity. Thanks for the chance to win.
August 4th, 2010 at 8:47 pm
What a GREAT class. Even for those who are talented they still need refreshers and ideas as well…Remember you can never stop learning and you always learn something new everyday or every week. Its the best part of growing as a person. I can’t THANK YOU both enough for your inspiration and talent…Crossing my fingers…
August 4th, 2010 at 9:00 pm
everyone can be creative… sometimes you just need someone to provide the spark to light the fire…you ladies are amazing.
August 4th, 2010 at 9:15 pm
I love your blog. I would so excited to be one of your students…You have so many insperational ideas.. Good luck to everyone.
hugs

August 4th, 2010 at 9:31 pm
WOW – as usual you have “creative” ideas!! What a wonderful idea to help other demonstrators (and customers) be creative!!
I’m ready to go for it!!
Jan
August 4th, 2010 at 9:36 pm
I agree with Jonelle….if I can learn to be half a creative as you two, count me in! But it would be even better to win the class!
Thanks,
Beth
August 4th, 2010 at 9:40 pm
what a great idea, would love to win it.
August 4th, 2010 at 9:47 pm
Wow another great class. Would love to be half as creative as you both. Would love to win but if not congrats to whoever does.
August 4th, 2010 at 10:12 pm
I also would like to win your class. I’m terribly creatively challenged. I can case like a darn but no imagination of my own. By August 24 I hope I can afford your class if I don’t win. LOL!
August 4th, 2010 at 10:19 pm
I am getting more creative then I first started and looking for something that will help me take the next step in making better cards/pages. If I don’t win, I will definetely sign up!
August 4th, 2010 at 10:22 pm
Your story could be mine! I felt and went through everything (and a little more) than what you mentioned above. With 3 sisters that got all the “creativity” and me being the one that litterly could not draw a stick figure (this is the truth), I have amazed myself at how much I have learned. But I have a long way to go, and am always looking for tips, constructive criticism, and any help along the way. I would love to win this class to learn how you got there!

Oh I really, really hope I win this one for SO MANY reasons! Sounds like a great class. I definitely think of myself as uncreative person but I truly feel like it is in me somewhere and just dying to get out. Since I can’t afford the class right now I do hope you will offer it again soon.
August 4th, 2010 at 11:20 pm
What an amazing class. Thanks for a chance to win!!!
August 4th, 2010 at 11:22 pm
Yes, yes, yes!! I need to find my inner artist!! You are both so creative and I know that I am creative too – but I need a little direction – this could be just what I am looking for and need!
August 4th, 2010 at 11:41 pm
I am so impressed with all the work both of you do. This is going to be a fantastic class. So glad you are offering this opportunuty.
August 4th, 2010 at 11:47 pm

August 5th, 2010 at 12:10 am
What a wonderfully creative idea!!!!! I’m all about finding my inner artist and keeping her active and happy! Thanks for the chance to win and for creating the course!
August 5th, 2010 at 12:11 am
Wow…this is the most awesome class ever! You two come up with the most amazing ideas.
August 5th, 2010 at 12:17 am
I have only been a hobby demo but have lately been inspired by such great people to want to make this a full time job and winning this class would help me greatly.

August 5th, 2010 at 12:37 am
Boy, it’s like you read my mind. I have been so busy and have wondered if I could have original ideas even if I had the time to play. I am looking forward to your class.
Karen
August 5th, 2010 at 1:20 am
You continually amaze me with your projects but this sounds
spectacular. Here’s hoping I have a chance to win, and if not,
well, will have to have a heart to heart chat with my husband
about how I “need” this course!!!LOL
August 5th, 2010 at 1:33 am
Wow–what a great idea! The classes will be fabulous, I am sure. Your blog is so inspiring and motivating. Thank you!!
August 5th, 2010 at 2:06 am
Wow! This looks wonderful! I could REALLY use this class right now! I’ve just re-entered the creative phase and I’m a little unsure what to do!! And I’m going to share your website with my friend who has a beautiful, creative heart and thinks that she can’t pull off anything!
August 5th, 2010 at 2:09 am
Ohh i need to do this class as if you can find the answer to the elusive question of “i don’t have enough time to craft” (well craft as much as i’d like to) it’d be so worth it. Love you work & you willingness to teach others
August 5th, 2010 at 2:15 am
What a great idea for a class!
August 5th, 2010 at 3:15 am
Ohhh Andrea and Sophia!!!!
What a wonderful Surprise this is. I think this will be just what I need but not sure. You see, the SU Demonstratorship is in my name but it’s really for my older borhter who has Alzheimer’s. Since Soc. Sec. put me in charge of his money – SU wouldn’t let me sign him up as the demonstrator – it had to be me. So with me trying to learn techniques, how to use the tools, etc…It has been very hard. I have to show him every little step and with me not being very creative – I usually rely on your demo planners etc….My hubby who is quite a bit older than me has been put on the Alzheimer’s medication Aricept and now I’ve got both of the men in my life with memory loss. So it’s so very hard to find the time to try and be creative on my own. I’m spending all of my time showing and mostly reminding my brother each step of how to make one card. He’s been trying to make your autumn double slider album and I confess it’s just been a total disaster!!! Mostly it’s just me trying not to get too overly stressed because he can’t remember the steps he must do and the constant telling him over and over again on just one step gets to me at times. Even he gets frustrated and I think it’s because he can tell that I’m getting stressed.
Could you tell me a little bit more about the class? Will you be helping us to use the color coach? I don’t really need to learn how to use it. I mainly have trouble with the stamp sets. I can pick out my colors of card stock etc but then I don’t know what to do from there without alot of trial and error. Beleive me- I have way more errors and that in turn causes a lot of card stock and ink waste.
Knowing my situation now-do you think that this class would be right for me? Any help about this class would be greatly appreciated.
August 5th, 2010 at 4:54 am
Wow..what a giveaway. I think we all have it in us to be creative, we just need to be jumpstarted sometimes to find it. This class sounds like the perfect jumpstart!
August 5th, 2010 at 8:11 am
Hi Andrea, I would love to win one of your classes, I so admire your work.
August 5th, 2010 at 8:27 am
Good morning,
This is a great initiative!
Bravo
mj
August 5th, 2010 at 8:38 am
SUPER FUN!! I hope to win…I would love to take the class but don’t if I should swing the cost…thanks for the chance to win.
August 5th, 2010 at 8:42 am
Sadly, I think you have described me to a tee! I’ve always been a perfectionist and I spend so much time blog surfing and looking at everyone else’s creations to inspire me that I never get a chance to actually create. When I do try, I know it won’t be perfect and it is always lacking that special something…it’s always safe and boring which just puts me off even more. This course sounds really interesting, the only problem is I would never sign up for it because I really do think I am in that group of having no creativity! Sad but oh so true. 8 (
August 5th, 2010 at 8:50 am
Oh, My! This is a fantastic idea! I always wonder how both of you come up with your ideas and how you just start your creativity. This would be so much fun to find out what you do and how you do it. Awesome!
August 5th, 2010 at 9:25 am
Sounds awesome. I’m always looking for new ideas to spark the creative side I didn’t think I had before my upline introduced me to Stampin’ Up!, the best company ever! I love being able to show others they are creative also. I’m like you and believe that everyone can do it.
August 5th, 2010 at 9:32 am
Sounds great! I would love to win!!
August 5th, 2010 at 9:35 am
Sounds like a great class. I learned so much from your Scrapbooking 101 class. My mom says she is not creative and then I look at her card that she made at one of my workshops. She has it and doesn’t want to believe it. I think that is how it is with a lot of people.
August 5th, 2010 at 9:43 am
this is a wonderful idea for someone like me who never has any inspiration… hope i can win it…
August 5th, 2010 at 9:51 am
Sounds like a wonderful class! Thanks for offering a free class chance!
August 5th, 2010 at 10:00 am
Great class idea! Sometimes I surprise myself by being very creative but many times it is a struggle.
August 5th, 2010 at 10:45 am
Sounds like a good idea for a class…very original. Hopefully this will be my turn to win! Thanks for the opportunity.
August 5th, 2010 at 10:49 am

Help get my mojo back. Love to win! Thanks much for sharing.
August 5th, 2010 at 11:42 am

still hoping to sign up – Thanks for the opportunity.
August 5th, 2010 at 11:47 am
Thank you for offering a chance to win such a great prize. I love your creations and check them out everytime I receive an email update.
August 5th, 2010 at 12:35 pm
Hello, I have subscribed to this post for some time now and really appreciate how it enables me to feel connected to other stampers and creative people via the web. I would love to win this course, but more importantly I wanted to thank you for offering those in cyberspace a much needed class. I live in a remote area of BC and because I am on call a lot, taking courses outside my home has not worked for me. When I read this post I thought how wonderful to offer a course that addresses an issue that many people struggle with (including me). I have probably read every book ever published on creativity, but never taken an actual course. This class would offer me an opportunity to work on and reveal my creativity (that I know is lurking inside somewhere) without having to leave home and worry about being called in if I was attending a Stampin Up class. Thanks for the opportunity.
August 5th, 2010 at 12:55 pm
This is a wonderful Idea! I often struggle with my own creations and tend to look to others for ideas!
Your blog is full of wonderful creations! I’d love to learn how!
August 5th, 2010 at 1:03 pm
Wow I sure could use this class. I have totally lost my creativity in this area of my life.
Will this be geared to SU or everything creative?
Thanks so much for such a wonderful opportunity.
August 5th, 2010 at 2:31 pm
Sounds like just what I need! Thanks for the chance to win!
August 5th, 2010 at 5:41 pm
So far, I have taken 2 of your online classes, and Have enjoyed them! I take it as a challenge to push creativity further! Although right now I can’t take this one (due to staying within a budget) this looks like something that would be a fun challenge as well. If I could put this comment down as an advertisement for your classes, I would have to say that it was well worth the investment!
so, I thank you for the chance to win a class!
August 5th, 2010 at 5:54 pm
What a great idea….and I can always use help being creative!!! Hope I win!
August 5th, 2010 at 6:44 pm
Oh my goodness what a great idea. This is definitely something worth investing in. I hope that you offer this class again sometime in the future as I will not be able to afford it right now. Thanks for always sharing your creativity with us.
August 5th, 2010 at 8:49 pm
Sounds like a great class! I can’t afford it now bc I blew my $ onCHA but winning it would be awesome!
August 6th, 2010 at 7:04 am
What a great idea. I could definitely use some help kick starting my creativity. Wish I could afford this. Thanks for the opportunity to try and win the class.
August 6th, 2010 at 11:56 am
I am so excited to take this class. I just paid with paypal to take advantage of the early bird special. Would you fix my email — I received a note from gmail that my guamscrapbook@gmail was “compromised” and I had to get another one. Yet all my emails with Paypal go there with no access for me. My new email is rosemariec2005@gmail.com
Thank you for sharing your talents! Greetings from Guam. Rose
August 6th, 2010 at 7:40 pm
From my side of “the window” this sounds fabulous! I look forward to your project e-mails each day. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.
August 6th, 2010 at 7:51 pm
What a fantastic fun and cheerful card.
Thanks for sharing. The idea of the online class is FABOO!!!
August 6th, 2010 at 8:44 pm
I have purchased many of the workshop planners from you. You have now come up with another fantastic idea! This online class is one that I KNOW will be special!
August 6th, 2010 at 8:48 pm
This is a class I’ve been looking for and I’m so excited to have both of you as my teachers. I’m looking forward to it.
August 6th, 2010 at 9:20 pm
WOW! You think you can get me to think creativity
That would be fantastic! I am considering signing up. Thanks! Nancy l :^) Have A Stampingly Day!
August 6th, 2010 at 9:56 pm
I could really use a kick-start and a schedule! I’d love to win this class.
August 6th, 2010 at 11:09 pm

August 7th, 2010 at 12:01 pm
Sounds like a fantastic class!
August 7th, 2010 at 12:27 pm
This class looks very appealing to me and a must for me to take! The creations on your site are always inspiring and amazing – a style I try to make my own. Sometimes what is planned in my mind does not always translate into the same onto paper. Thanks for creating such a class as there are not many like them out there to develop our creativity further!
August 8th, 2010 at 1:15 pm
I would LOVE to win this! I’ve purchased tutorials from you and they were awesome. This class is a MUST for me – hope I finally get to be the lucky winnner!!!
August 8th, 2010 at 1:42 pm
I’m very excited for this class. I haven’t stamped anything in a couple of months and am looking forward to getting my mojo back.
August 8th, 2010 at 3:18 pm
This sounds very intriguing. I’m not creative and I lack confidence in my creations. I find it very hard to believe that there was a time when you felt you weren’t creative. I need to take this course to see if I can find my creative gene and become proud of my own designs. I don’t want to see the summer gone but now I’m looking forward to Sept.

What a great idea. I took the Scrapbooking 101 and the Fun Folds and Pop Ups classes and relly improved my card making as well as kept my interest in SU. You two sisters are a great influence. Would love to win a chance at this new class to take my creativity to a new level. Congrats on going to Founders in Sept. You certainly belong in that category. Thanks Andrea and Soph.

You two have so many goodies out there that I want to purchase now! I need to broaden my horizons. I have such a wonderful stamp club but that’s it. The same 6 girls buying from me all the time and I love them and appreciate them so much but I’m getting no where in my business. There’s no way to make money. This class is definitely calling my name! I think it would take me to a new level in my demonstratorship. Thanks for offering it to us!

The Artist In Me? Must be the little voice I hear that keeps saying”Feed me Ice Cream with sprinkles the colors of all the Copic markers!” Sounds like fun.

This sounds like a fabulous class and a great idea for some of us that just don’t feel that creative. I always love your work and am continuously inspired by your blog. I would love to win a seat in this class, I just had knee surgery and am laid up for a while, this could get me through the boredom….

Wow…. Everytime that I go on the website I am prepared to be amazed… well this time… I think that you have outdone yourself…
I usually rely a lot on your workshop and classes as I am color blind and have difficulty with some of the colors… I can’t see the blues and the yellows… I see them as browns… sometimes I come up with some very unual designs…ah ah ah … Just ask Sophia
Thank you for giving me the opportunity at this class
