Another “Thank You For Being You” Card Featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Bold Blossoms Stamp Set
Posted on: Tuesday, February 8th, 2011-
Dry emboss the front of a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Crumb Cake card using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and your Big Shot.
-
Punch one 5 1/2″ edge of a 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Melon Mambo CS using the Scallop Trim border punch.
-
Stick the scalloped CS piece to the back of a 2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Ice Cream Parlor DP so that about 1/4″ of the scalloped border is showing.
-
Lay a 6 1/2″ piece of Raspberry Fizz Satin Ribbon across the top of the DP. Bring the ends of the ribbon around to the back of the CS and stick them down. Stick the matted DP piece to the card front so that it is about 1/2″ up from the bottom edge of the card. (Stampin’ Up! substitution: instead of the ribbon, mat the DP onto a 2 3/8″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Melon Mambo CS that has had one edge scalloped and omit the ribbon entirely OR substitute with Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon and switch out the Melon Mambo CS from step 2 with a piece Pretty in Pink CS.)
-
Punch a 2 1/2″ circle out of Whisper White CS using the 2 1/2″ circle punch. Stamp the greeting from the Bold Blossoms stamp set in the bottom right of the circle and then stamp the stem twice in Pear Pizzazz Classic ink.
-
Stamp the flower from the Bold Blossoms stamp set at the top of the stem on the right in Melon Mambo Classic ink.
-
Stamp the multi-petal flower from Petal Pizzazz in Melon Mambo Classic ink onto a piece of Whisper White CS. Cut it out and stick it to the top of the remaining stem with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
-
Place a pink rhinestone in the center of each flower. (Stampin’ Up! substitution – substitute with a basic rhinestone or pearl)
-
Stick the Whisper White CS circle to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Position it towards the left side of the card.
-
Take a 12″ piece of Raspberry Fizz satin ribbon and tie a faux bow around the first piece – to the right of the Whisper White circle piece. You’re done!
I hope you enjoyed today’s card!
A quick note about how you’ll see our project posts going forward. We will continue to post to this blog 5 times a week. This blog will continue to feature cards using predominantly Stampin’ Up! product. Whenever we use a non-Stampin’ Up! product, we will offer a suggested Stampin’ Up! substitution as seen in the project instructions above. Typically the types of non-Stampin’ Up! products you can expect to see us use would be either things that SU doesn’t carry (such as a 1/2″ corner rounder punch)or embellishments like ribbon, rhinestones and buttons in colors that Stampin’ Up! doesn’t offer (since I have a weakness for these particular embellishments).
We have also launched a second blog – www.papercraftersworld.com – where we will share all of our creations which feature a mix of products from many different paper crafting companies. So if you like to gain inspiration from all sources then please check that blog out too as we are aiming on posting there 5 days a week as well. Each time we post a project on Paper Crafter’s World we will let you know here. Today Soph posted a gorgeous card featuring the watercoloring with markers technique.

So glad to hear about the companion website, which I’ve already signed up for updates from. You and your sister are an amazing talent resource. I’m always amazed at the amount of thought and detail of all your projects, and the amount of time and effort to create the detailed “how’-to”s is mind boggling. Anyone who has ever done the step-by-step write-ups and videos really knows just how much work is involved.
