It’s back – introducing the Tri-Shutter Album re-designed!
Posted on: Monday, February 8th, 2010Some of you may remember the Christmas Jingle Tri-Shutter album I released in the fall. Since that album’s release I’ve received many requests for the album in different themes. That’s why today I’m so excited to be able to release the all new re-designed tri-shutter album in THREE different themes: girl, boy, and wedding-themed.
As you can see from the pictures below, the album retains the same basic tri-shutter construction. My long-time readers know that rather than following existing templates that are widely available on the internet, I like to make things “my own” and create my own designs. While my designs are often inspired by things I’ve seen, those inspirations are my “jumping off” point – which means that I might start there, but I work it and work it until I can call a design my own. Which is what I did with the original Christmas Jingle album. I came across a something called a “tri-shutter” card on splitcoaststampers (you can see it here) and fell in love with the “tri-shutter” concept. Of course it’s a standard-sized card (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) which doesn’t work as an album. So I pulled out my sketch pad and some scrap CS and got to work seeing how I could incorporate the tri-shutter concept into my mini album. What I came up with was a 6″ x 8″ mini scrapbook album that has room for 5 pictures and some journaling. You can see what the full album looks like in the video below.
Because I wasn’t working from a Simply Scrappin’ Kit this time, I customer designed the greetings on the covor and the journalling boxes & messages on the inside. As part of your kit you will receive these exclusive images - for each album you will have two greeting choices for the album cover. For example, for the girl album you can choose from a cover greeting that says “Sweet baby” or “Sweet girl”.
To better see the inside of the albums you can watch the video below:
As with my other Memories Your Way products, when you order one of the Tri-Shutter Mini Scrapbook Albums you will receive a fully constructed album shell and all the embellishments you need to decorate it YOUR way. As with the other Memories Your Way kits, because this is a finished product, this is available for purchase worldwide. For the $32.95 CAN + shipping kit fee, in addition to the album and embellishments, your kit will also include a DVD showing you how this album was made from scratch, in case you want to make more. There is also a printed handout which includes a full supply list, cutting guide, pictures of the page layouts and a step-by-step photo tutorial on how the album was made.
As with the other Memories Your Way kits, the Tri-Shutter album will not be sold as a separate pdf file or as separate video tutorial. If you are a papercrafter that participates in craft shows & fairs, you do have permission to make and sell finished albums. I have also been asked by many Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and other papercrafters if you can offer this as a class to your customers. As long as you offer it as a traditional, attended class the answer is yes. Once you have purchased the kit, if you send me an email I will send you a pdf of the handout as well as a short demonstrator guide with cost analysis & suggested class pricing. There are however certain stipulations: (1) you may not copy (i.e.”burn”) the DVD and distribute it; (2) you cannot distribute or re-sell the instructions online, as a class kit by mail, or as an online ordering incentive as will my class planners. Thank you for respecting these limitations.
To order your kit today please click HERE – just please make sure that before you choose your shipping option you carefully read through the ”shipping policy” page (you’ll see the link just before the add to cart button).

Wow, these are super adorable. I have a really good friend whose DIL is about ready to give her the first Grandchild. Only thing is…I don’t know if it will be a boy or a girl. I do so wish that you had made a gender neutral one. I guess I will have to wait until after the Grandchild is born to purchase mine, but I want one so bad. Thanks again for coming up with another amazing project. I gotta love you guys.
