Baby Bundle by Soph
Posted on: Wednesday, July 8th, 2009
ETA: I had someone ask where I got this idea… there are about 3 stamp companies that have baby bundles out: Stamping Bella, C.C designs and another that I can’t remember. This is where I got this particular idea. Most of my idea’s come from wanting to make something and seeing how I can do it with the shapes that I have. Hugs, Sophie
This weeks tutorial is another baby project. For those who have no need of baby stuff right now…don’t worry, I will be back next week with a punch project which is not infant related lol. For everyone else, I hope you enjoy! This card and box combo is showing a baby bundle ( the type the stork brings in ) hanging from a clothing line. I would have loved to have had those mini clothing pins that you can get at the dollar store, but alas, I have none. I am going to try get some on my next outing.
Tutorial

Start by taking your 5-Petal Flower punch, 3/4″ circle punch and your Wide Oval punch. Punch one of each shape using So Saffron for the flower and oval, and Blush Blossom for the circle.

Cut off 2 petals together, discard the other 3.

Cut the bottom of your wide oval so that it is fatter and rounder. If you are doing multiples then make a master and trace the alterations on to each consecutive wide oval.

Sponge all your pieces, the So Saffron with Curry, or Dusty Durango, and the Blush Blossom with Creamy Caramel.

Glue the two petals to the back of the wide Oval as shown in picture.

With you black marker (fine point), add eyes to the circle. With a sponge dauber, sponge on some Rose Red Stampin Pastels on the cheek area then add three gel pen dots per cheek for highlights.

Adhere the baby face to the bundle using a Stampin’Dimensional. Next add highlights to the bundle. You are done.

*swoon*
I almost want to have babies so that i can send this to myself!
How is it possible you guys just keep getting better and better?
July 8th, 2009 at 11:34 pm
Super duper cute idea! I had to laugh though, because when I first looked at them I thought they were piggies! The faces of the babies are the noses and the hair is the pig’s eyes and the ties on the bundles are the ears. You know, one of those things where I see a woman and you see a vase? Anyway, they ARE super cute baby bundles!!!
