Bunny From Behind Punch Project

With Spring just around the corner, I felt that I absolutely had to celebrate by creating something totally cute and non-wintery! What better way to celebrate then with a fluffy, chubby bunny. I just love looking at rabbits. I love that pear shaped body and those liquid eyes. He was so easy to make and I have to say that I am pleased as punch with him! I figure that I can use hime as a tag for my Daughter’s Easter basket. I will just have to make one more for my Son’ s basket as I don’t think he will be happy if she has one and not him. Anyway, this is a really fast and easy project, and I hope you like it as much as I do

Bee Mine

This has not been my best week at all! My daughter came down with a Gastro-Intenstinal bug, which means keeping her quarantined to her room, doing tons of steralizing and lots of extra clean-up from her being sick. Thankfully it seems to be paying off since the younger two have managed to avoid getting it. Needless to say I have not had a ton of free time.

Anyways, for this project, I decided that I wanted to create something really cute and fun to give my daughter for Valentine’s day. This bee was the perfect solution. He expresses my sentiment nicely, and he is so bold and bright to cheer my girl up! I am also thinking that he could be used for other projects, such as a get well ( Bee Better), or a ( Just Bee-Cause) or how about a simple cheer up ( Bee Happy). So many fun applications! Well I hope you enjoyed today’s projects and that you will visit us again tomorrow when Andrea posts another fabulous creation

Potty Punch Project

Well today’s post was made out of necessity! I wanted to create an incentive for my son whom I am potty training. He has proven very challenging compared to my daughter who trained easily. I know that he can do it because he has requested to go before and succeeded, but unfortunately, since my husband has been gone alot, it seems to really have affected him. He is more clingy, and more reluctant to be a “big” boy. So I created a fun chart and potty treat jar. The idea is that he puts down a star every time he does something on the toilet. On the fifth time (represented by the orange dot) he gets a little extra for a treat. The stars are put down with 2-way glue pen which was allowed to air dry so that it was tacky and removable. I figure that once the chart fills up, we can remove the stars and start over again. The toilet idea was taken from a Quickutz toilet die. I always find it handy to check out other companies to see how they do things, and then to go on my own and create it with what I have. I hope some of you can have fun with this one. One alternate idea would be to give a toilet on a card and make mention of a bad day, or use some other potty related humour to amuse your boys.

Chocolate Truffle Punch Project

ETA: Someone did just bring it to my attention that there is an error in the box dimension that I offered. It is actually 5″ x 7″ and the inside box space is 3″ x 2″ inside so that it can fit 2 truffles. I am so sorry for the confusion.

Phew, what a week! We have been having so much fun in the online classroom, and it has gone by in a whirlwind. It has also been intensly busy, but that is actually not the reason why we have not posted for the past couple of days. With all the video uploading that we have been doing for the online classroom, we have been having some real issues with our internet provider. Apparantly they don’t like the fact that we have been uploading massive video’s to the classroom, and have been trying to limit our bandwidth. Well we are back on the air so to speak, and I can finally share the project that I had originaly planned for Wednesday.

So, today’s project features a chocolate truffle punch project. I made the box so that it could hold 2 large truffles. It is perfect as a little gift to leave on a loved one’s pillow. The PDF will show you the template for the box. The inspiration for this project came from a Quickutz die. Everyone knows how I love to take an existing die and create the same thing with my punches. This way, anyone can make it. So I hope you enjoy this week’s Punch Project, and I will see you again next week!

Christmas Pudding Punch Pal

I keep waiting for an easy week to happen, and it does not seem to arrive! I am sure that many of you can relate to this. There is no such thing as a perfect moment, only moments which must be siezed. I finally gave up trying to get the perfect silence in my house for filming. I know many of you expressed that the chaos did not bother you, so from now on, quiet or loud, I will film. Today on my third take as I filmed, my son was again trying to sneak out of his room for about the tenth time. After reading all the stories of other peoples kids, I have been able to relax more and realize that I am not the only one with a challenging child. It is not so much the happy noise that had been driving me batty, but rather the screaming and yelling which insued every time my Son busted into his sisters room and raided her Halloween candy. Then there was the fighting that happens when he throws cars at his older sister, or the times he tries to sit on the baby and my daughter tries to keep him from doing that. Always, always, always there is some drama going on .

Well this weeks project is pretty easy. It takes all of one punch. And it takes very little time to make. I actually love how it turned out, and its all because of the icing . There is just something about the image of icing dribbling down a cake in thick sweet globs….mmmmmmmm………..ok, now I am definitely making myself hungry!

Tutorial:

Make your Christmas Pudding and then set aside. Now using your Stampin’Up! two tags die, cut out the folding tag from Chocolate Chip CS. Now sponge the tag with Basic Black ink, set aside.
Cut out your Whisper White mats to fit the tag and sponge them with Ruby Red Classic ink. Add a little bit of Kiwi Kiss (retired) or Old Olive sponging. Stamp with the Bella Toile BG stamp and Ruby Red Classic ink.
Stick the decorated panels to the tag, and then stick the Christmas pudding to the top front of the tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
You are done!
