Season of Joy Christmas Card
Posted on: Wednesday, November 14th, 2007I really should be stamping cards for the order I received, but when I saw this card by Michelle Giraud, I knew that I had to try my hand at that same layout, using my Stampin’ Up! products. One of my favorite things to do as a creative challenge for myself is to find cards I love that use product from other companies, and see what I can come up with using Stampin’ Up! products. The layout for this card comes from a “My Favorite Things” sketch challenge that was on SCS.
For my card I used the Holiday Harmony DP as well as the Always Artichoke Print Patterns DP. I used 3 of the Artichoke patterns from this collection (the top and bottom left, and the top right), as wels as the Pomegranate pattern, and the River Rock pattern. The card base is the River Rock textured paper. If you haven’t already - you’ve got to try Stampin’ Up!’s textured cardstock – it is to die for! The main image comes from the Season of Joy stamp set. I’m not sure if you can tell from the picture, but the tree, trunk and star are all clear embossed. I used Always Artichoke, Close to Cocoa, and So Saffron craft inks. The Merry Christmas comes from the retired Fancy Flexible Phrases stamp set. The scalloped square was cut using my Nestabilities. Other accessories I used were Stampin’ Up!’s Pomegranate Satin ribbon , their vintage brads, and their word window punch.
Stamps: Season of Joy, Fancy Flexible Phrases
Ink: Always Artichoke, Close to Cocoa, So Saffron craft ink, Pomegranate & Always Artichoke classic ink
Paper: Holiday Harmony DP, Always Artichoke Print Pattern DP, River Rock textured, regular river rock.
Accessories: Pomegranate Satin Ribbon, Vintage Brads, Nestabilities scalloped square, word window punch.
All supplies Stampin’ Up! unless otherwise mentioned.

This is a beautiful card Andrea! I love the way you used the various designs together! I just ordered several packages of this paper-I don’t know why I thought just getting the SU! wrapping paper was going to take the place of Holiday Harmony D.S. Papers! Isn’t the Pomegranate Taffeta Ribbon gorgeous? I just love it!
Love your site!
