Makeover Monday Birthday Card featuring Teri Anderson
Posted on: Tuesday, June 8th, 2010I know it’s not Monday, but yesterday was such a rushed day that I never had time to post. I figured you all probably wouldn’t mind too much if it was posted a day late
Today’s card is one I made over from Teri Anderson’s blog. You’ve heard me mention Teri before. She’s one of the Paper Crafts magazine Go-To-Gals, and I just love her style. I find her layouts in particular very unique – she has a way of putting together cards that I just wouldn’t think of. You can see her original card HERE. As you can see, although I kept to the general layout, I couldn’t help changing it up a little :-)
The paper I used was left over scraps from the Happy B-Day Simply Scrappin’ Kit, I used my thicker window sheets to die cut my brackets. I also created a faux metal silver ring which I placed around the number 8. To create the ring I first punched a partial circle out of silver CS using the 1 1/4″ circle punch and then I punched around it with the 1 3/8″ circle punch. I also added in the arrow to draw attention to the age I wanted to celebrate.
Just a quick reminder in case you missed the one I posted last week. With the onset of summer and a much more unpredictable schedule, our posting may be a bit unpredictable too. Although we always try our best to stick to our regular blogging schedule, you may see missed days, or missed themes.
Have a great day!

I like it when you use #’s in your projects… I never seem to do that & your creations inspire me. So Thank You for expanding my horizon & stepping outside of the box… Love the bright colors & the use of linen thread… you have used in in the scrapin’ 101 class & now here… I almost never use that either.
Thanks for Sharing such a bright card
