Guava Doodle
Posted on: Wednesday, September 12th, 2007I’ve recently started to really enjoy making 4″ x 4″ cards, the problem is that Stampin’ Up! does not offer envelopes for this size of card and neither do the office supply stores I’ve been to here in Cambridge, ON. So yesterday I went online and did a search for 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ square envelopes . You wouldn’t believe how hard it was to find some! I finally came across an online store called JAM Paper & Envelope that had them as well as a huge assortment of other sizes. Their prices were quite reasonable and shipping to Canada wasn’t too bad. They also shipped it out quickly – next day. We’ll see now how long it takes to get here and whether or not I’ll get hit with huge customs charges. This unfortunately is one of the downsides of shopping in the US for us Canadians. The base of this card is whisper white cardstock. I used Groovy Guava Prints Designer Series Paper and stamped the corner flourish from Doodle This on it in black ink. I then used the ticket corner punch on the corners, and matted it on black cardstock on which I also used the ticket corner punch. The greeting in the bottom right corner is from the All Holidays stamp set, and was stamped in black. The flower is the large flower again from the Doodle This stamp set. I stamped it in Black Staz On on whisper white cardstock twice, colored it in using a blender pen and Groovy Guava ink refill, cut it out, added a little Dazzling Diamonds glitter with my 2-way glue pen, and added three black brads from the Vintage Brads collection to the middle. It was mounted using a Stampin’ Dimensional. Thanks for looking!
