You’re #1 & The Winners Of The Nautical Expedition Class
Posted: Monday, June 13th, 2011 | CommentsHappy Monday everyone! I just got back from a three day business conference in Conneticut called the Continuity Summit 3 by Ryan Lee. It was absolutely amazing, and I would say for me, definitely business-changing, possibly even life-changing. My business coach John Sanpietro was there, as well as 10 fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators (well, I guess I should rather say, former fellow demos).
Today I wanted to share with you all a quick and easy Father’s Day card I created, along with a more generic version of it which you can use as a congratulations card. To switch it up for a girl, all you would have to do is to switch up the colors.
Supplies:
Stamps: Grunge Rock, Sanded Backround (Stampin’ Up!)
Ink: Early Espresso Classic Ink (Stampin’ Up!); Tea Stain Distress Ink (Ranger)
Paper: Early Espresso CS, Crumb Cake CS, Real Red CS, Pacific Point CS, Pacific Point DP (Stampin’ Up!)
Accessories: 1 3/4″ circle punch, 2 3/8″ scallop circle punch, Real Red Grosgrain ribbon, Billboard Sizzlit Decorative Strip die, Big Shot (Stampin’ Up!); Chit Chat Rub-ons (retired Stampin’ Up!); Janome Sew Mini (Janome); white sewing thread (other);

I love this theme. It does have a masculine feel, but I live near the coast of Maine, USA-where I actually know female ship/boat owners and operators-so it wouldn’t have to be just for men. Thank you for all your hard work and for sharing such wonderful ideas with us. You are a true teacher at heart.

Beautiful cards Andrea, but I’ve come to expect that from you. You do great work. I would love to win the class by email and hold it for my customers. So glad you’ve solved your internet problems and it’s great to see you back. I miss you when you’re not “on” all the time.
Good luck with Ginger – anyone with a dog has gone through the puppy thing and one day she’ll learn how it works.

Wow! Thank you guys so much for the fantastic response to the Playful Petals Triple Flip Album!! As promised, today I’m announcing the winners of the digital tutorial (no supplies included).
I was originally only going to draw three names, but since the response was so overwhelming, I’ve decided to give away four times as many - I’ll be giving away 12 tutorials in all! I chose the names using a free random number generator at www.random.org.
If your name is drawn, please email me at andrea@sunnystampin.com and put “Triple Flip Mini Album Winner” in the subject line of the email. If you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, please be sure to mention that in the email so that I can also send you the demo information.

Wow Andrea yet another hit. I just finished a mini from a tutorial I bought from you ages ago as a gift for a friends daughter to complete during the Summer School holiday and she loves it. I keep on going back to your mini tuts as they are a hit very time, no matter what paper and embelishment you use. It easy yet very, very affective:)
Thanks and keep up the good work:) I hope for once I will be the winner. Now I’m off to go look at what mini tut to buy next:)

Oh wow – I might not be “allowed” in the pool because I am writing from Germany but I would like to take the chance to say how “WOW”
I think this album is. I am pretty new to stamping & scrapbooking
(and to be honest I feel like I will never get a grip on it) but I am so impressed by your creativity. Thank you!

Super Cool! I would be so excited and grateful if I won! Thanks for the chance.
I had also been planning on sharing a project with you today – as the projects here have been pretty scarce lately, but to tell you the truth, I just didn’t have the time or the energy, or even the mojo.
Remember last week when I mentioned the new addition to our family – our little pom-poo puppy? Well it’s almost like having a new baby in the house! Except you can’t put diapers on them
On top of that, I’ve been up the last two nights until the wee hours of the morning dealing with a sick child and my husband’s gone for the next week on a business trip to Quebec City. Needless to say, I’m pooped.
I will be sharing some photos and more deets with you guys, but for now, I’m off to drive my daughter to dance.
Happy Memorial Day to all my American friends!
*NEW* Triple Flip Mini Scrapbook Album Tutorial & Kit By Mail + A Give-Away
Posted: Wednesday, May 25th, 2011 | CommentsToday I’m really excited to share with you all a brand-new mini scrapbook album I’ve designed which I call the Triple Flip Mini Scrapbook Album! This 5 3/4″ x 5 3/4″ mini album flips open to reveal 14 different page layouts – each of these layouts will comfortably hold a 4″ x 4″ photo, leaving some extra space for embellishments around. This fun little album is compact enough, and easy enough to make that you can use it as a gift for long-distance friends and family; at the same time, it has enough pages and enough room for journalling, that you’ll find yourself with plenty of space to preserve those special memories.
This album was created using Stampin’ Up!’s Playful Polka Dots Simply Scrappin’ Kit from the 2011 Summer Mini Catalog. The beauty of this album, as with all my other Mini Albums (which you can see HERE), is that all you have to do to change the theme of the album, is to use another Simply Scrappin’ Kit, OR, use whatever patterned paper and embellishments you’d like – sky’s the limit!
Below, you can see a picture of what this album looks like when it’s fully open:
I’m making this available in two formats – as a Scrapbook Class by Email and then a different version of it (using a different Simply Scrappin’ Kit) as a Class Kit by Mail.
The Scrapbook Class by Email Digital Kit is available for $22.95 CAN and it includes the following:
- a pdf handout with a full supply list, a cutting guide, step-by-step photos with instructions on how to create the album, individual page layout photos with the supplies and dimensions used for each layout.
- Access to a private web page from which you can watch a video on how the album was made.
- Please note that NO SUPPLIES ARE INCLUDED.
- For Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators, if you email me, you will receive cost analysis and suggested class pricing, as well as guidelines on the quantities of consumables to order. For Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators, please note that the Playful Petals version of the album uses ALL Stampin’ Up! Product. As a demonstrator you DO have permission to offer this as both a traditional class AND as a Class Kit By Mail.
This tutorial is being provided FREE for Paper Crafter’s Library Members, and will be up on the site today. This is just one example of the fabulous benefits that Paper Crafter’s Library members receive as part of their monthly membership. Considering that membership is $19.95 a month, and you receive access to over 500 other videos in addition to the mini album, it’s a fabulous deal! For more details on becoming a member, please click HERE.
To purchase the Scrapbook Class by Email Digital Tutorial please click HERE.
For those of you that are interested in the instructions + supplies, I have put together a limited number of Class Kits By Mail using Stampin’ Up!’s retired Pina Colada Simply Scrappin’ Kit. You can see a picture of the album cover as well as the album fully opened below:
These kits are available for $34.95 + shipping – and I am selling them internationally. Please note that I only have 28 kits available on a first come, first served basis.
The Class Kit by Mail includes:
- consumable supplies to make and decorate the album: 1/2 of the Pina Colada Simply Scrppin’ Kit by Stampin’ Up! (now retired and no longer available for purchase), extra white cardstock for the album pages and photo mats, clear rhinestones and ribbon (please note that you may receive a different ribbon than the one shown above).
- access to a private web page with a video on how the album was constructed with a bonus downloadable handout on how to create the Playful Petals Triple Flip Album shown above – access to this page will be given to you at the time you place your order.
- a pdf handout with full supply list, cutting guide, step-by-step photo instructions on how to create the album, and a photo of each layout along with supplies and dimensions for that layout. This handout will be emailed to you at the time your kit ships.
You will need to provide the following:
- double-sided adhesive
- Sticky Strip (i.e. red liner tape)
- scissors
- paper cutter with cutting and scoring blade
You can order your kit HERE. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your kit to ship out.
Blog Give-Away
And now for a give-away. Please leave me a comment in the comments section of this post for your chance to win the Playful Petals Triple Flip Mini Album Tutorial. On Monday I will be announcing 3 lucky winners on the blog.
Beyond the Garden May Class Planner & Stamp Class By Email & A Give-Away
Posted: Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011 | CommentsJump start your spring with the bright, vibrant colors and floral patterns in this month’s “Beyond the Garden” projects. In this class, you’ll create four coordinating cards and a Twin Pocket Portfolio to store them in.
As I do each month, I am offering two versions – a Stamp Class by Email version which is a step-by-step photo tutorial with over 80 full color photos, full supply list, a cutting guide and template for the box.
The Class Planner version for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators includes the Stamp Class by Email tutorial (called the Class to Go Handout) as well as all the additional materials you need to offer it as a class to your own customers. Don’t have the time or space to offer traditional classes? Why not offer it as a kit to go? OR, did you know that you can use the Class to Go Handout as a purchasing incentive to your customers? When they place a $50 or more order of Stampin’ Up! product from YOU, you can give them this fabulous tutorial for free? But wait….there’s more….
Did you also know that this month I’m continuing on with the new video feature? As part of either the Stamp Class by Email AND the Class Planner you receive access to a private web page – and this month we have a video showing you how to make the twin pocket portfolio. When you order the Class Planner version, you also receive the video embed code so that you can embed the video on your own blog and offer it as a bonus to your customers which took the class or received the tutorial as a gift with purchase?
There are so many different ways that demonstrators use my planners, yet regardless of which way they choose to use it, the one thing I hear over and over again is what a benefit they have been to their business. Are you interested in adding more to your business? You can purchase the class planner HERE.
If you are not a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, but you’d like to learn how to make these projects then you can purchase the Stamp Class by Email version HERE.
*Please note, we are now offering the videos from this class to Paper Crafter’s Library subscribers as well as a written pdf on how to make the box. All other handouts – including the step-by-step photo tutorial, and features are remaining exclusive to the class planner/stamp class by email and will NOT be placed in Paper Crafter’s Library*
And now for a give-away! On Monday, May 9th, 5 lucky winners will receive the Beyond the Garden Class (supplies not included). All you have to do to enter is leave a comment in the comments section of this post. If you’ve never left a comment before all you have to do is to click on the title of the post, scroll to the bottom of the page and enter your comment in the comment box. Sometimes comments may take a little while to appear.
Easter Basket Card Featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Baskets & Blooms Bigz XL Die & A Give-Away…A Video…& Some Winners
Posted: Monday, April 18th, 2011 | CommentsI don’t know what it is, but I’ve been finding this school year just speeding by (i.e. from September on). Somehow this year I’ve really been feeling behind the eight-ball. I was talking to Soph this morning and couldn’t believe that Easter is THIS WEEKEND! I had such big plans and all sorts of cool projects to design and create planned out in my head, and now….it’s too late. I’m sure those of you that fall under the “really organized” category, are already ready LOL.
I guess, rather than saving my ideas for Easter next year, I may just re-think them a little and create them as spring projects.
Today’s card features Stampin’ Up!’s Baskets and Blooms Bigz XL die. This card is based on a fantastic card by Betsy Veldman – scroll down to the second card on that post and you’ll see it. I used primarily Stampin’ Up! supplies for mine, and decided to fancy up the eggs. I filmed a quick video for you all on how I created the eggs which you can see below (for Paper Crafter’s Library members I also included a video on how to do the rest of the card, including the dimensional basket – and that’s been posted on the private blog today).
Here are the supplies used:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes (Stampin’ Up!)
Ink: Early Espresso (Stampin’ Up!)
Paper: So Saffron CS, Pretty in Pink CS, Baja Breeze CS, Nursery Suite DP, So Saffron DP (Stampin’ Up!); Spring Moss CS, White CS (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: flower punch from Itty Bitty Punch Pack, foam mat from Mat Pack, stylus, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Basic rhinestones, 1 ⅜” x ⅝” Oval punch, Ovals Originals die, Baskets and Blooms Bigz XL die, Stampin’ Dimensionals (Stampin’ Up!); Heat It Craft Tool, Matte Accents, mini mister (Ranger); White and pink ric rac, ⅛” Scor-tape, hot glue gun, Fabri-tac Adhesive (other)
You can watch the video here:
Also, do you remember the Faux Marbled & Stained Glassine Card?
I filmed and uploaded a video on how to create the Faux Marbled and Stained Glassine Flowers and inserted the video into the original post. To watch the video click HERE.
To watch the video on how to create Faux Glassine, click HERE. I do have to warn you though that for some reason, about four minutes into the Faux Glassine video, the sound goes wonky for about a minute. I accidentally overwrote the original video file, so I haven’t yet had a chance to correct it and re-upload it.
The Winners of the Trees of Hope Class Planner:
I also realized that I forgot to announce the winners of the Trees of Hope class. I have listed the 5 lucky winners below. If your name was drawn, please email me at andrea@sunnystampin.com and put “Trees of Hope Class Winner” in the subject line.
