Stampin’ Up! Makeover Monday Challenge
Posted on: Monday, June 9th, 2008
For today’s Stampin’ Up! Makeover Monday card I decided to continue with the masculine theme that started with my Stamp Simply Saturday card. I thought it was especially fitting since Father’s day is coming up. I always find it a bit of a challenge to come up with masculine cards as most of my stamps tend to be flowers or other decidedly non-masculine images.
Today’s card is based on this card. When I saw that card I immediately thought of the Western Sky designer paper I’d used for Saturday’s card – this pattern is the reverse side! This card could very easily have also been featured as my Stampin’ Up! Stamp Simply Saturday card as it too was quick and easy to make, but I just love how it turned out.
Now it’s your turn. If you’re new to this blog, I’ll fill you in on the details of Stampin’ Up!’s Makeover Monday Challenge. Find a card you love that uses primarily or all NON-Stampin’ Up! products, and make it over using ALL Stampin’ Up! product. Colors and theme can change, but the layout has to stay the same. If you can achieve the same "feel" to the card even better – but not necessary. Post your card to your blog, website or to Splitcoaststampers and in the post link back to this post. Then, leave a comment in the comments section of this post with a link to YOUR card. You can enter as many projects as you’d like. Each project counts as 1 draw entry. On the first Monday in July one lucky winner will be announced. She/he will receive an item from the current Stampin’ Up! Catalogue as a prize (value $14.95 or less). Anyone can participate – both Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and non-demonstrators.
Come on out and play!
Stamps: Fresh Cuts
Paper: Whisper White, River Rock, Bayou Blue CS, Western Sky DP
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Blue Bayou double stitched ribbon, Silver brads, Key tag punch, slot punch, paper piercier and foam mat.

I love your card. This is the first time I am trying your challenge and have to say I really need to get a few more embellishments to do these challenges. I would like to have put pearls on the flowers like the original has and brads instead of eyelets and I don’t have any small butterflies.. Check out my attempt at:
