October Stamper’s Club Projects

Last week as I was engaging in one of my favorite passtimes – blog browsing – I came across THIS gorgeous grouping of projects by Sharon Johnson. Ususally when I do my club projects – each project tends to be very different. When I saw Sharon’s projects,  I really liked the idea of a grouping unified by a common color scheme.  Since I didn’t have the stamp set she used or enough of the Soft Sky DP, I decided to recreate her “grouping” using Season of Joy, the Dashing DP collection and the Old Olive Prints Designer Series Paper .  For the star box, I followed a tutorial on SCS by Diana Crick.  Unlike both Diana’s and Sharon’s, my box was only 5″.  I wanted to maximize the number of projects I could get out of 1 sheet of 12″ x 12″ Old Olive cardstock.  The card on the left is a Joy-fold card, and the tutorial on how to make it can be found on Beate Johns’ blog.  My final card was a little 3″ x 3″ card.  Other tools and accessories used on these projects:  Red Grosgrain 5/8″, Whisper White taffeta, hodgepodge hardware, word window punch, scallop punch, 1 1/4″ & 1 3/8″ circle punches, slot punch, silver brads, red gingham ribbon, silver elastic cord, clear EP, iridescent ice EP. All supplies are Stampin’ Up! of course!

Hi Andrea! Love your grouping in these colors and with these stamps — a wonderful project your girls will be sure to love!!! I erroneously called my card a Joy Fold Card, when in fact what I made was a Z Fold Card — LOL!!! I’m sure you noticed that!!! Isn’t that star box just so much fun!!! So glad you liked my project enough to recreate it — thanks much!!!
